Doctrine

Why LockJaw Is Not Mass-Market

LockJaw is intentionally hostile to convenience. Friction is an operational consequence of keeping proof and refusal intact.

Principles

  • The audience is institutions under scrutiny, not every developer team.
  • Operational friction is acceptable when it preserves bounded authority and evidence truth.
  • LockJaw is strongest where trust collapse is expected, not where smooth self-service is the priority.

What this excludes

  • No growth path that weakens doctrine for adoption.
  • No convenience tier with weaker guarantees.
  • No product language that promises low-friction defaults.
